Glad I have life insurance....Bike is fixed!
Today was officially crappy. I still can't believe that this happened. I was only going 12-15 mph when it occured. It started at a stop light. F-250 in front of me took off hard...I took off normally/gracefully. As I was going for 2nd gear that truck tapped his brakes hard for some dipshit running a stale red light. That was the same time I had the clutch disengaged. Came up on him pretty quick and ened up hitting foot and handbrake at the same time and locked up both. My wrist moved the throttle enough to jump about 4k when I grabbed the front brake and I let the clutch slip right out from my fingers. According to the semi driver that was behind me: I leaned hard to the right (with the front end about 3 feet off the ground courtesy of the unwanted clutch dump) and just missed the truck body hitting his rear passenger tire as I layed down. Only thing I remember is seeing the bike shoot past me and sparks trailing from it. Before I knew it i was out in the middle of the lane trying to drag that thing to the side of the road. It shook me up pretty good, but not enough to make me give up on motorcycles. I would have ridden it home if it wasn't in 60 pieces scattered all over the road. No police report was filed and no tickets were issued. I lucked out in that department, but the fairings and headlight bezel are going to take me to the cleaners for sure.
Damage I walked away with...other than a really sore shoulder.
Here are the things that kept me out of the hospital. Thank God for frame sliders.

Glad your ok..
Do the work yourself and you'll save a lot of $. My friend did the same with his R1 and the parts were around 2500, I did all the work for him for free. The estimate from the shop was around 6K, and his insurance cut him a check for the estimate. So he got to pocket the difference. But what important is that your ok... My friend got a small amount of road rash but was ok as well.
Also, try and find someone that works at a Suzuki shop that would be willing to use thier discount and order the parts for you.. that will help.
