Hennessey in Chronicle....

Didn't know he was ever "not" crooked.
I saw that in the paper this morning at work.
"Good technicians are hard to find."
No, they're all over in Charlotte and working for Pratt & Miller or Foyt, etc. If you pay the cash, the technicians will come.

Good help is hard to find. Like powell said, Paul is an EXCELLENT tech. So is Nick and everyone else there. John runs a tight ship these days and I'll do business with him anytime.

I understand that he has good technicians, otherwise his business would have failed long ago. (It says right there in the article that Hennessey himself doesn't work on the cars.)
But Hennessey also states that good technicians are hard to find, yet the NASCAR, NHRA, ALMS, SWC, etc., never seem to have trouble finding technicians.

He states good techs are hard to find, because that is a fact. Even those race teams you mention have a difficult time finding "good" ones. Just because someone wears a uniform and can turn a wrench, that doesn't make them "good" at it. I've met career mechanics that I could spin wrenches around and wouldn't let them touch my cars.
Paul and Patrick have worked for John for a couple years now, I hear nothing but good things about the operation now. John has some good employees now.

I talked to John yesterday at his track, he has always been very personable. He may have had some troubles in his past with the business, but that was the past and I believe he has corrected the situation. As far as his techs go, they are first rate. Paul and Patrick have worked on some of my previous vehicles.
