Still looking. The car will pass OBD-II, won't pass a visual (no cats, 5% tint.)

My car throws no codes, but I'm concerned that my boost guage, exceptionally loud exhaust and last but not least, the large turbo in the back of the car will make them want to look a little closer...

There has to be someone, somewhere, that will pass my car. I really don't want to spend money putting on legal exhaust.

The last few times I had my car inspected, they did a visual. I just don't want to chance it. Looks like I may have found someone though.

I'm thinking that most places that aren't specifically designed for inspections are not going to look under the car. Seriously though, what's the worst they can do...fail you?? Then you go get some old cats, bust out the insides and weld them on the exhaust...bam, you pass visual.

I have an STS so it's a little more difficult than that due to metal shavings getting in the piping, but overall, that's really all you need to do... It's either that or pay $80 for a bum inspection...

While simply welding cats in place may work for some people, for me it wouldn't. Having duals dumped at the axle is illegal in itself, nevermind the absense of the cats. On top of that, I have 5% tint on the sides. I could, however, roll down the windows and pull the fuse.
