I purchased one for our C230 back in MAY...it is still in the box it was shipped in because I can't find anybody that will install it due to the fear of messing it up.

I am to the point of installing it myself as soon as I can get a place to do it out of the wind.

i used to work at a porsche dealership that used to put that stuff on the nose and front quarter panels of porsches and audi's... it looked ok on some cars, but very much depended on the color as to how much you noticed. on the white cars, it was very noticable... it turned yellow.

How does it look when it's applied on a car? Even though it is clear, I imagine it's still pretty visible along the edges, right?

My friend has it installed on his pewter C5. You really can't see it until you are within 5' or so of the car. You can't tell a difference except for a line/seem on the hood. The rest of the front is pretty much unnoticeable. He has it on the mirrors, rear quarter panels, front nose, front part of the hood, and front fenders. He bought the car with it installed already.

For the price of the clear bra you could have a panel or two repainted . I think it would probably cost anywhere from 5-1500 depending on how much you want done. It just depends on who/where.

Let us know what you find out.
