Default Painting a Cage?

OK I have 2 options here. I bought a 8 point Cage for my 2000 Formula since I am tired of getting kicked off the track & want to be safe as well.

I got a quote for powder coating my cage & it was $150 for it to be powder coated which is alot of money to me just to have my cage black.

How do most of you get your cage painted & who paints it for you & how much did it cost you?

Thanks
Seb

+1 150 seems like a good deal to powdercoat an entire cage

+its pretty tough, so you wouldn't have to worry about scratching it as much

I agree that $150 is pretty cheap. That being said I just spray painted mine with a few cans of Rustoleum. Works well enough and I like being able to touch it up easily when I accidentally scratch it or something.

A tiny can of gloss black POR-15 paint and a 2" bristle paint brush. It will cover a 6-pt and hold up a little better than spray paint. Brush it on, it dries smooth and glossy.
