Its now almost 10pm here in lovely Iraq. We just got 10-13 mortars dropped on us about an hour ago. I so cant wait to get out of this freakin country and back in the states with my feet in some grass or shifting gears.

I appreciate it but I am not a soldier. I chose to come over here 2 years ago now as a contractor. I just build stuff for the soldiers.
They are the ones to salute!!!!!!

That place sucks on all levels. Out of all the time I spent all over the world including Turkey for two years. I really can't remember one good thing except the flight line when I left from BIAP

Haha!!! At least you were at BIAP and not this craphole I am in. We get two small meals a day, a buttload of work everyday, and are lucky to get the px out here for 3 days out of the month.

heck we got one-two liter's of water a day because our logisitcs were not there yet and the airforce was sitting on the run way with pallets of water. and as far as meals we literally seperated the MRE's into meals.

No one was killed thank God, just some injuries. One Army guy had to hold in his guts after shrapnel went through his side. He wont be back in the sandbox.
I have tons of pix from all this stuff but because of security reasons, I cant post them up.

I'll be counting with you while i'm here in the LONESTAR STATE, I wish we could all come home but in the end we have a mission to complete. I wouldn't wish that place on anyone. I remember looking up at the stars and always thought how me and my wife were looking at the same stars on opposite ends of the earth, that kept me going.
