They fact that you don't have a degree should not stop you from trying to get one of these jobs. Most of the big companies perfer a two year degree in process technology or three years maintenence experience. Depending on what you did in the military, that experience could be enough to get you a look. I got hired with no experience and I wasn't even finished with the certificate portion of the degree plan at Lee college. Get Certified a copy of your resume, check the sunday Houston Chronicle job section, and register with the Texas workforce commission.

They all need degrees.... or experience.. I have 7 years Logistics (5 1/2 military)under my belt, but dont want to do that anymore once i leave the desert. Including a couple years supervisory experience. Toxic thanks man for the excellent advice, i called certified and left a voicemail so hopefully they will call back tomorrow. We shall see.

You don't have to have a degree, but it does help if you've had a class or two, so you have some kind of idea about the pieces of equipment you're working with.

You can do some of the classes online, but I don't think all of the classes needed for the certificate are available online. You should be able to get a good number of the classes done via online.

Nah, best thing you can do is apply via our website. I'm not a candidate recruiter, so I'm the wrong guy to get you into the program. I'm an account manager, which means I work with the companies to find the open jobs.
