Lightbulb Anyone diesel truck shopping?

I'd consider selling my truck. It has been almost a year

We test drove some new Escalades tonight, they sure are nice.

I don't tow anything anymore, this current truck has never had a hitch stuck in the square mount since I've owned it.

2006 Dodge Quad-Cab 4x4 2500 Heavy-Duty
19,xxx miles
Inferno Red Metallic w/ khaki cloth
Cummins 5.9L turbo diesel, auto tranny
SLT "Lone Star" Edition (called "Big Horn" in other states)
sliding rear window
towing package and mirrors

Mods:
windows tinted ($130)
custom grille ($125)
Green brand air filter ($50)
Tailgate lock ($50)
Ravelco anti-theft kill switch plug ($200)
TST Powermax tuner with remote gauges ($900)
MBRP 4" stainless catback exhaust ($550)
KMC 20x10 chrome wheels and 33" Nitto Terra-Grapplers ($3300)
Replaced black side molding with chrome, chrome handles
color-matched fender flares ($450)
rubber bed mat ($100)
400 hp & 800 ft-lbs safely
averages 18 mpg mixed driving, 21 mpg highway

Asking $35K

For racing....Duramax > Cummins > 'Stroke. Just sayin. Nice truck Tony.

Let me ask for real though (and we can take this to PM if you want), by buying and selling every year, are you breaking even at all on any of these cars? Seems like you buy, dump $, then sell. I don't know what prices you get or what you put down, but due to depreciation it seems like, logically, (on the surface anyway) that you're losing money each time.

Allison 6-spd is nice, but the Cummins doesn't need 6 speeds since it doesn't have to rev as high as the Duramax does to make power. My redline is 3K rpm.

Also, the Cummins is the only diesel in the big three that is rated at medium duty. The Duramax and Powerstroke are light duty rated.

How 'bout we just settle this and have a race?

I'll bring the Duramax, Tony has the Cummins, and someone bring a Haveastroke, I mean Powerstroke.

Good luck Tony with the sale. Very nice truck.
