it has been out for a while and it was a product of research. not sure what microsoft has to do with it, they probably just bought the technology like they do everything else.
it is cool, i just don't see microsoft as an innovative company, but rather a facilitator by making the technology available to consumers. like i couldn't see the original research company/group selling it. their cost to manufacture, produce, and distribute it would be too high for them. but ms has billions to play around with and they can get a larger quantity done at a reduced rate.

So it actually exists... interesting - I've seen similar things talked about with a more "office environment" focus to them, but they were all conceptual to my knowledge...

Neato, I remember when my local Rave theater had a section of the floor two years ago with that technology. It's still there. Combine it with Bluetooth, put it on a table with a PC to run as server and you've got the same thing.

yeah i saw it on T.V. the other day, that **** is badass!
the guy they were interviewing from microsoft said that it is only going to be available for business', for a while, until the demand gets big enough for individual consumers.
