Default Can Mach 1's be supercharged with a 03-04 Cobra s/c?

I know this isn't a Ford site but I just raced a guy in a Mach 1 and when we pulled up to the light to talk about mods he said it had a Cobra blower on it .

He pulled on me when I was on motor but the next race on dope was ugly .

yah its possible but it wouldnt just bolt right on......there be quite a few parts that would have to be swapped but yes they are both 32 valve 4.6s that share alot of the same parts.....

its basically the same engine but will require some work to get it done. but seriously why would you do that lol , the mach one is a good engine without it imho.

they basically bolt right on you just have to do some trimming on the shaker intake to fit over the supercharger. its an easy swap since alot of cobra guys upgrade.

The stock internals of a Mach are good up until about 8lbs of boost and with the stock pulley the cobra's Eaton delivers 7.5lbs so it should be fine on the mach stock bottom end. Well with a good tune that is a little detonation and that's the end of a rod and your engine too.

I think it requires swaping to 03/04 heads

the mach motor doesnt have forged rods and pistons but does have forge crank i believe. the cobra motor is also a iron block and the mach is aluminum. i think the heads and cams are the same. funny also is if you get an automatic mach they dont have forge cranks and redline at like 6k instead of 7k on on a standard mach

Cobra's oil pump has billet gears I believe and the Mach's doesn't. Heads are the same cams and all.

The best way to do it is to get the whole setup from a guy going to turbos. A local member sold everything off his car for 2200 which would allow you to bolt it onto a mach.
