in the next few years the sun will be going into it's 6th(?) phase where it will have it's most sunspot activity. hotter temperatures = more clouds/precipitation. solar flare radiation can knock out power/satellites/communications, and it already has a couple of times. not the same as global warming since it's not changing our climate.
