Where to buy wiring harness???
I need to get a whole new wiring harness for my 96 LT1/6-Speed Camaro. Its gonna cost too much to fix so I am wanting to replace it all, if anyone knows where I could get one new or used let me know, search junk yards but they sell them with the engines and its not the full harness.

For our race cars, we use a Painless harness. It's complete, down to the EGR.
Cheapest place I've found is Jegs.
I also found this place ... http://www.lt1wiring.net
Sounds promising and a LOT cheaper, but I have no first-hand experience with these guys.

Didn't shop SDPC did ya? We sell it for $1309.99 compared to Jegs' $1326.99

AHH, I was looking at the Perfect Circle setup, which was more expensive...on that part you listed we're actually $18 cheaper

Jeg's has offered LAW Motorsports racers pricing. Does Scoggin/Dickey do something similar?
FWIW ... in the mid-60s, my step dad was a diesel mechanic at SD's big rig dealership in Lubbock. It was on the north side before Loop 289 was ever dreamed about.
A LAWms car made it into the latest edition of GMHTP. The #70 car will take the CMC regional championship and is one of the favorites for Nationals at Mid-Ohio in September. The #9 car is a shoe-in for the CMC-2 regional championship.

Back on topic ...
The Painless harness is top notch and a LOT lighter.

For public info, the harness from Painless is not a bolt-on replacement for the 92-97 cars...it is bolt on for 94-95 cars! For other you'd have to add the crank sensor pigtail into the harness, change several other pigtails to the correct connector, and use a 94-95 PCM.
FAST makes a bolt on harness for you Mike, and I replied to your PM!

According to the chart on Painless' website ....
60501 - 93 Camaro/Firebird LT1 - standard length
60504 - 93 Camaro/Firebird LT1 - extra length
60502 - 94/95 Camaro/Firebird LT1 - standard length - footnotes #5 and #7
60505 - 94/95 Camaro/Firebird LT1 - extra length - footnotes #5 and #7
60502 - 96 Camaro/Firebird LT1 - standard length - footnotes #5, #6 and #7
60505 - 96 Camaro/Firebird LT1 - extra length - footnotes #5, #6 and #7
60502 - 97 Camaro/Firebird LT1 - standard length - footnotes #5, #6 and #7
60505 - 97 Camaro/Firebird LT1 - extra length - footnotes #5, #6 and #7
Footnotes:
#5 The 92 and 93 components may be used on the 94-97 engines when not using the 4L60E trans
#6 When using the 94-95 harness, minor engine ignition component modifications may be required
#7 The PCM programming should match engine/transmission combination and may require modification to turn off the CEL.
For what it's worth, the 60505 is installed and working just fine in my '96 Trans AM with a 97 motor.
In 97, a CPS was installed on an LT1 motor, but it does nothing to trigger the ignition. It was a transitional year between models, going to the LS1 motor which DID use a CPS to trigger the ignition. Unplugging the CPS on a 97 will yield a CEL, but no driveability issues and can be programmed out.
The Painless factory is just off of 30 on the east side of Ft. Worth. The guys there are very helpful in getting you outfitted with exactly what you need.

ima see wat i can find out, but if its the same price for the painless and fast has one that is plug and play, id rather go that route, unless painless was cheaper, ill see wat the deal is.
Car is still in the shop at the moment, been there a week and 1/2, they still dont know the problem, niether do i, used multiple PCM's, scanners, freeze frame, scopes, and cant find nothing, the car isnt even suppose to run with a P1351 code, it disables the injectors, but my car runs and starts but I have major driveability issues. Thanks for all the input and help, thinking replacing the harness will be cheaper and faster.
