The truck is a 97 silverado w/ a vortec 350, I was cruisung down the highway at 70 and the truck just dropped down to idle then died completely and wont restart. Fuel pump, filter are both good, any ideas on what is wrong?

Well they had a huge issue with the FPR blowing out into the intake and also had coolant issues with some of them. I am guessing you checked the Schrader valve to confirm FP? If so then it might be time to consult a Tech@ LOL! Usually known as a very reliable motor though. Good luck sorry I wasn't more help it is very hard to diagnose a problem over the internet LOL!

Check fuel pressure spark etc then pm me and I'll walk you through it. Fuel pressure should be 40-45 plus KOEO.
