Default getting arrested just for drinking in a bar??

http://videoblazer.net/videoblazer/i...ctlink&id=1735

has anyone heard of this? must have at least some credibility if it came from NBC. this is ridiculous, how far can they go? more importantly, what constitutes being "drunk" or "disorderly"?!

Thats the hole point of going to a bar. That is just as bad as a buddy of mine getting a ticket in houston for spitting on the sidewalk. This country is going to **** really quick. Before long we are not going to be free to do anything. So now we get to pay taxes that will pay for a cop to sit in a bar, watch me have a few drinks and then arrest me for a PI.

That's rediculous, taking it a bit too far, I'm a jailer and if our patrol deputies start doing this crap I'm going to kick them in the nuts.....

ummm...public intoxication? Yea, i've heard of this as well, most of the time the cops wait until you are OUTSIDE the bar to nail you...how pathetic.

Let me guess, "improper disposal of human waste."

After spitting on the sidewalk, a cop told me he could write me a ticket for that.

how old is that? or is it recent? this was a big thing about a year ago. a few areas were going overboard with the PI arrests and it made big news and it stopped.

That **** make me angry. Even if you beat it later you end up getting to spend a night in jail for minding your own buisiness.

They want to stop the DUI's? Why dont they sit in the parking lot and give people getting into their cars a Field Sobriety Test/breathalyzer? This is horse crap, and I do remember this going on sometime ago.... and havent heard it happening since.

We have a few bars around us that have officers in uniform sitting in the bar watching everyone. They mainly sit inside by the door watching people come and go. This isn't really old news because it is still happening.

F-ing TABC is just getting a power trip off of this crap...Its one thing to sit in the parking lot and watch someone stumble to their car leaving a bar. Thats understandable, but to arrest people in the bar that aren't even drunk is BS
