Default MT E/T Street question.

I just picked up a set of MT ET streets to use at the track and I was just wondering if I'm going to like this tire. I did a lot of searching and research on it and it seems like its a good tire but the radial version is better...I know that anything is better than the sumitomos I'm running now but will these things hook just as well as a radial? I'm not that high on the power scale so i won't be pushing them that hard...any opinions and advice is greatly appreciated...thanks

I'm more then sure they will hook better then a radial. Just don't try and use them during a rainy day on the road. I heard they aren't worth a ***!

yea these will only see the street when there is a 0% chance of rain...lmao.....but yea i got a good deal on wheels and tires so i picked them up....can't wait to try them out on the strip, i've ran a set of the E/T street radials on the street and i loved them, i'm just hoping that these hook as well if not better!

without a converter you were better off with some radials judging by your mods in the sig

yea the slicks are better for a stick car...the radials would have been better but those will be fine...just get used to it on the big end of the track whe nyour slowing down the back end might feel like its getting loose dont freak out...its the sidewalls...thats why most use radials...and becuse youll run faster with radials mosta the time

If you are gonna sell the ET Streets, I may have a buyer depending on the size.

Your thread title says ET Streets then in your post you say slicks which are ET Drags the, ET drags are by far the best second would be ET Street Radials (DOT Approved Radial) then would be ET Streets (DOT Approved non Radial) alot of high hp cars have been close to the same times running ET Drags and ET Street Radial, the regular ET Street does not hold a candle to either of these to tires but for a lower hp car say 600 or less ET streets will work fine but you may not like the way they feel on the big end if you are not used to it, for your car I would suggest the ET Street Radial and a 12 bolt or 9 inch.

I used to use them on my Camaro and did not like the shake they made on the big end of the 1/4 mile. Funny this is that I went to ET Drags and that problem went away.

I had both MT drag radials and the ETs (and now using Hoosiers QTP).

The drag radials were ok, but you really had to heat 'em up to make them work. Then I went to a 4000 rpm stalled automatic and they blew the MT drag radials off. I couldn't get 'em to hook. ET Streets hooked well but I didn't like doing the hula dance on the big end. So now I run Hoosiers QTP and LOVE THEM.

Sorry about that Franco, i fixed the original post.....they are they MT E/T Streets...and are not the radials.....im not sure if they have tubes in them now or not but if they don't i will def put some in there to make them more stable on the other end....thanks for all the input and opinions guys, after these go i'll be goin with the E/T street radials for the stiffer side walls, these were just to good to pass up.
