Default SLP TCS Logic Module. Anyone Have It?

Alright so I was sitting in my car awhile ago here in the driveway, I was cleaning it out. I don't know what made me pull off that little square where the TCS switch is located but I pulled it off. I noticed there were some wires and a small black tucked in there so I pulled it out. I noticed the black box said SLP Performance Parts on it and I have a couple of questions. If I have the TCS Logic Module, Why do I still have to turn my TCS off everytime I turn the car on? When I start it, the TCS is on whenever it should be off. I'm confused...

the instructions say you have to go from key off position to crank position immediately without stopping at ignition on. you can't turn your key on for a sec, and then turn the rest of the way to crank.

Sounds like yours is not working properly then. I have an SLP module in my '01 SS (only car I have that has ASR) and if I start the car immediately ASR is "off". If I pause a few seconds with the key in the "on" position, but don't immediately start the car, ASR is "on". According to the instructions from SLP, mine is working normally (ie. ASR/TCS begins in the "off" mode, but only if you start the car immediately after turning the key).

So I should just put the key in the ignition, then start the **** out of it immediately?

I have one and it has worked properly since 2002 and is still working properly. Yours must have a bad connection or is defective.

^^ Yeah I plan on disconnecting it tomorrow and checking it out. If it doesn't work out afterwards, I'll just keep turning my TCS off by hand every time I start my car, Just like I have been doing for the past 2 months I have owned it .

instructions also told how to "program" it. you had to do something a certain way for the slp box to get acclimated properly when you first install it.

Yeah well the previous owner probably never installed it properly or something like that. Idk man. Do you know of a site or something where I can find a copy of the instructions?
