Default Emissions Warranty ?

For the service writers and dealer experts...

My friend has an 04 Accord 55k miles. Took it in for a check engine light. Called me and told me they fixed it, replaced the front oxygen sensor, and it only cost the 50 dollar deductible (extended warranty).

I've never had to use the federal emissions part of the warranty, but it sure looks like the O2 sensor is covered for 8yrs/80k miles? Is she due a refund?

EDIT: Went too fast. I don't think so. Only PCM/ECU and cats are 8/80.

I wouldn't think an extended warranty would cover an o2, as it's a wear/replacement item anyway. Weird.

Yea I looked over that website and the warranty info on my 08 Chevy since they were handy. I have no idea what warranty she bought; I thought O2s were wear items as well.
