its probably BofA, since they did this about 3 years ago to me also.
They called 1 day all, we issued you a new card, so you will need to cut up your current, I asked why, they said they had computer issues... LOL
WTF ever......... hacking issues is more like it.

I really can't stand BofA, I liked Compass tho we did have a difference that made my try out another bank, WAMU, which I really like & have had no troubles with...other than my worn out MC/Debit card is hard to get to work with Wal-mart & Sam's club checkouts....there's some trick where you have to hit a cancel button to be able to enter your PIN #.....

My parents use Viewpoint but don't have a debit card. I need to check with them cause someone already emptied out their Viewpoint account once before.

Wells Fargo was good till I got a divorce and lost my job. No sympathy at all if you fall on hard times and some of the lowest interest rates on any type of savings/checking account. I actually had a WF employee there tell me I should probably switch to WAMU.

I had my debit card compromised a while back. It appears someone went on a shopping spree in Paris, France while I was sleeping in my bed. Tried to go get a haircut when I woke up, "card declined." Tried again, same thing. Had to pay with my credit card. Got home to 2 messages on my answering machine from Washington Mutual (my bank) saying they put a freeze on my account due to suspicious activity.

I'm glad they caught it. I received every penny back but it was a hassle going so long without a debit card.

They need to be more careful with peoples personal info/money.

i've never had a problem with BofA. I've had them as my bank for nearly 17 years, they've always helped me out. Actually called me to verfiy a transactions that wasn't supposed to be there!

my gf had this happen to her comerica debit card a year ago, someone spent 80 dollars in France, and then they froze it. she got the funds back, then cancelled the debit card and only uses CC cards now, like myself, I can't stand debit cards.

i had a problem with a BoA teller steala $300 cash payment i made on my CC. took a police report to get the bank to check the tapes. then they saw the guy pocket my cash. in the meantime they cancled my account(because i refused to pay again) and put a mark on my credit, that was the biggest hasstle ive ever had with a bank...
i like chase, ive ahd no problems with them and my debit card gives me airline miles that i used to fly to ohio last summer.
