Default Traded in my Tahoe **w/pix**

So today I signed papers on a newer truck. I got tired of needing a bed and either having the rear roof to deal with or not wanting to mess up the carpet so I traded it in. It also needed a good amount of maintenence that was due and I just didn't feel like doing it. I think that I need to tighten the torsion bar slightly to get the front end up a little but I like the height of it.

I picked up an '06 GMC Z71 Crew Cab from Strickland Chevrolet. It came with some 20's on it and Nitto Grappler tires 305 50 R20's .

If your looking for a difrent set of wheels I have some 17" boyd cottington timeless 6's with 305/70/17 Nitto Grappler with alittle less then half tred. I had them on my 04 z71, took them off when I got the jeep. The wheels need to be cleaned up (like polished) and they need new center caps. But I will let them go for $350 which is hell of a deal since the wheels were $1800 and tire were $700.
The wheel look like these on tony's old truck but his were 18's

Nice looking truck Randy. What are your plans? I see so many thing I could do to it, such an addiction. LOL The first thing I would change is the wheels, not really feelin' 'em.

Honestly, I will probably TRY to leave it alone until it needs new tires then I will search for a new combo. I would rather have a 6 star pattern, that matches the lug pattern and possibly look for some similar to a c6 z06 style but with 6. I won't want to go any smaller, I like the size of the wheels. Sad to say though, I was already looking at different billet grills and maybe some Nerf Bars so it will be easier for my son to climb up in last night. Also looked at a cold air intake and really want to rework the exhaust. Might be calling up a buddy for a retune in the not so distant future.

Thanks for the compliments guys

Or you could do some Amp Research power steps like me. The door handles would be a must. Sure, it's not a 2WD, but it sure tows a hell of a lot better than my '00 Silverado 1500 single V6. I'd be wasting my money buying a 4WD as I would never use it. I have had my truck 2 years and 1 month and I've never needed 4WD.

Well I am not ballin like you so the power steps probably won't happen but I do want to color match the door handles and possibly the mirrors as well.

Damn, thats a hell of a deal for those wheels/tires. If he's not interested, I'd definitely like a crack at them. I can't really use the tires, but I could find something to do with them.

Oh yeah, and the truck looks great. I may see it around as I live in Alvin myself. Oh, and if you do crank the T-Bars, just don't go too much with it. I cranked my bars on my--now my Fiance's--06 Z71 and I think I did like 4 or 5 turns and its just right. I know alot of folks crank the hell out of them and wind up screwing them up.

Far from ballin'. $1200? Chump change to you. Why color match the door handles? GM sells them all painted or with chrome pull handles. I think the set of 4 is like $150 or so. Easy to install.

Painted I would like. I don't like chrome handles. Maybe a grill with the wheels and trim piece but that is it.

Thanks for the info on the torsion bar. I don't think that I can get it straight level but if I can get 4 turns out of it and it comes up some then I will be happy.
