Default Thank You Tony(NineBall)

Just wanted to say thank you for suggesting the Ravelco Anti Theft Device.
Just had them install it at lunch on my wifes 2005 Escalade..
It deffinately will put my mind at ease now, Exspecially in the area where my wife works.

Thanks again

Just make sure you USE it each and every time you get out of the vehicle, even in your own driveway. Good habit to get into.

Definitely something I'll look into eventually. Definitely the best anti theft for sure.

btw, that little dust cover is not needed, I just remove mine. It just flops around if you leave it on there.

It is basically a kill switch. You unplug it and they can't hotwire your car. Disables the fuel pump, starter, and sometimes the PCM.

All the wiring mods are done under the hood, all of the wires are black and not labeled. They can't start the car without the plug in place.

This is far more than a kill switch. This is pretty much for all practical purposes impossible to bypass. You'd have to get DAMN lucky. A normal kill switch, they just have to find it.

A switch is a good idea. This just takes it several steps further

Yeah 3 Things are dissabled when the plug is removed..
It will even work with an alarm installed on the vehicle..
It would take them to long to trace the wires, out, and then splice everything back together just to get the truck started.

Oh and Rey,
I cant talk her into a CHL.. she doesn't like guns, but I will be getting mine soon..

They have a 0% theft rate since starting the company years ago. Several industrial companies even put these on their bulldozers and trucks. The only vehicles ever stolen with a Ravelco were stolen because the owner didn't remove the plug.

$400 is cheaper than my insurance deductible if a vehicle gets stolen. They basically have to tow the vehicle away if they want it.

Sorry to bust you all's bubble here guys but FYI, my dad had one of those I lost the part that goes on there (the part that stays with you) fell somewhere. So yeah all the wires do come in black but it was not hard to turn on. Ill keep the way I turned on to myself but it was easy to turn on my dads truck. I still havent replaced it but I dont like this device, its more of a throw off for crooks than really challenging them. Just my .02.
