Kidd officially to dallas...what are your opinions??? I personally think dallas has hurt their chances for a run at the title... Devon Harris is super quick and now dampier doesn't have a back up to slow down big men in the west(duncan, stoudemire, now shaq)
Kidd does well close to avg. triple doubles still but his shot performance has gone down and it's the worst season hes had. Tony Parker will surely take it to his rear for sure tho.

For one, Kidd is waaaayyy over the hill. Not only that, but we gave away too much in the trade. Kidd couldn't carry the team when he first played here, and he was in his prime then. Don't even get me started on his off-the-court antics (assaulting his wife). Bad trade all the way around.

coming from an SA fan. I prefer the prev trade of getting rid of stack/george bc I think it made them much worse. This current trade isnt too bad for dallas tho. they arent giving up much. Mostly only harris and 2 1st round picks that will prob be shitty anyways. IMO kidd is done, or at least close.

Dallas will hurt from this in the playoffs for sure.. Devon was a quick little guy probably than parker and he locked down parker at times.

As a die hard Mav's fan...i disagree with this trade.
I think Cuban wants to win NOW, and that's the problem.
Harris needs to "grow up" and become a better player. Kidd was done 5 years ago after his first knee surgery.
2 1st round picks is to much, the $3 million doesn't matter.
Mav's will wish they hadn't delt Diop as well.
SA should LOVE this trade, Diop was the only MAv's player that could "contain" Duncan, and Harris was the only Mav that could slow Parker down.

Deal isn't final yet, but looks like it should get done. Kidd is still a really really good 1, he isn't "waaaay" over the hill. He is past his prime but he is still really really effective. His rebounds and assists per game are up compared to his career and his PPG is down by 3 points. His shooting percentage is down a few points. I like the trade for Dallas IF they win it all this year or next because thats all that Kidd probably has left.

i think it was kinda dumb move on the mavs. they are giving up youth, and athleticism for a guy whos somewhat old, and cant hit a jump shot to save his life!!! i think everybody is sleepin on the suns, lakers and even the golden state warriors!!
