Help with detailing
Ok so i was cleaning my car and noticed several black specs on the car every so often, ive never used a clay bar but do you think that would take them out? i tried to pick them off/out with my nail and the sponge, not hard enough to do any damage, but they get on my nerves. Especially behind the rear tires, any reccomendations? I just washed and dried it today, im going to use a spray bottle and wipe it clean/dry then wax it tomorrow after work probly. Thanks

Wash the area first, make sure your 'solution' consists of distilled water and a couple of drops of your car wash soap. Use it generously on the spot and your bar, make sure to keep kneading the bar to expose a clean surface often...or you're doing more harm than good. Do not put any pressure on it, just let it ''glide'' and do its job.
You can pick up clay magic (blue bar) at autozone.
Hope that helps.

i would think acetone has a risk of messing with the clear coat...i just decided they werent that bad. I washed it yesterday and contemplated wether or not it was worth worrying about and just decided to deal with it later, i used a spray bottle with a little soap and mostly water, sprayed down sections then waxed, then moved on...it turned out good. I kinda ran out of time since im going to be busy for the rest of the week ill just try the clay bar next time, i wax it about once a month so no big deal. But its not tar im sure of that the paint is perfectly smooth just a little black speck behind the passenger front tire
