Default Good insurance Co's (not cheap)

I am looking at purchasing an 05,6 gto in the very near future. I have my two trucks with full coverage at farm bureau. On the flip side they will not underwrite gtos, camaros, mustang etc until the driver is 30. I lack a little under a year in this dept so. What would be a good company to look toward for that year to get me by until farm bureau will cover it. I have a squeaky clean record and have been with FB for thirteen years. My uncle is an adjuster for state farm so I have been looking that direction. Anyhow thoughts opinions etc are what I am hunting for. Thanks ls1techer's

I use state farm. mostly because one of my good friends sales it. The rates are also really good. I would just go talk to a few agents. Have them give you a quote, but more importantly find someone you like and feel comfortable working with.

Second vote for Statefarm. If your looking for an agent let me know. My bf turned me on to this particular agent, his office is terrific... saved me 80 bucks a month over Gieco AND I have more coverage.

Good luck with your search.

Third vote for SF. I've been with them almost 20 years. When my '96 3.8 got totalled in '06 they paid me 33% over bluebook value. I didn't argue. Rates went up after that...only because I bought a Z28.

I had state farm and loved it. Then I moved to MA and they dont allow state farm here. Its stupid as hell because state farm is better than the crappy insurance they allow you to have.

If you are in College Station, go talk to Todd Mcmanus at Farmers near On the Border on Texas. He has me covered and it's CHEAP compared to other places quotes and my previous rates with progressive (sucked). Right now I pay $85/month for full coverage on my 99 SS with me as the primary driver! That was down from the $225/month I was paying with progressive for the same coverage!

I use Allstate, my brother is with Travelers, I suggest getting pricing on the internet of all the name brands. I quoted about five big named carriers and Allstate was like $40 a month cheaper and I they provide good service.

I use Farmers Insurance. Cheaper for me than any other insurance company out there like State Farm, Geico, and All State. I was laughing at some of the quotes they were ridiculous.

I work for State Farm and I say go with USAA! You can't beat the numbers. They ARE #1 in customer service PERIOD. Guess who's #2? Uhhh huhhh! The rate is also 45% lower with USAA. Guess I'll go where I get more for less. Sweeta!

Try Amica. Got turned onto one of them from a friend. Never seem them advertised before but much cheaper than who i used to have. I've also had a car stolen and they gave me 1000 more than what I payed. Before my vehicle got stolen was paying around 175 for a 02 3.8 camaro, 01 SS Camaro, and renters insurance. Full coverage on both vehicles.

AAA, the auto club's insurance company allowed me to add my teen age son in an 85 RX7 for a lot less than everyone else. Their quote was so much lower I had to ask twice if they made a mistake. They are rated high and my rate has dropped twice in the last 4 years. My GF wrecked her Firehawk and the front clip was crazy priced from SLP much less GM. They wanted to total it but I worked with the guy and once he saw how much the car meant to us he worked it out and they fixed it, we just came up with some more out of pocket. He was an LS1 Z28 owner himself.

I would have to say Amica too. I have used them for decades for all my insurance needs and they never gave me a problem with any claim, customer service is second to none, and rates that are remarkably competitive. I have wandered away twice over 25 years thinking I may find a better deal but came back to them quickly each time.

My experience when I was under 30:

For a single vehicle, Geico was easiest. It was not cheapest, but competitive.

Once I added a second vehicle, State Farm crushed 'em all - with homeowners and life - no one could touch 'em.

If you're looking for the BEST, then I say State Farm. If you're looking for the CHEAPEST, then they're not the right choice. I go with State Farm because when I do have an accident, I don't have to do ****. I just call 'em and tell 'em what happened. They might call me a couple times to get my official statement or ask me a few questions, but they do ALL the work. It's beautiful.

If you can't get USAA go with State Farm.

I worked at a body shop and have seen first hand what kinda of parts Geico, Allstate, etc fix cars with. They're cheap for a reason.
