Default Few pics from my misshapp last weekend

only two I have from that night I ever so want to forget..was taking a girl home from a friends house, well it was drizzling a lil bit after it had been raining for most of the night, well it wasn't really that wet out but it wasn't pretty...well make a long story short, I entered the high way on ramp, switched into the left hand lane to get around an 18-wheeler so I could see, right before I was going to switch back into the right hand lane I came up on a part of the high way that holds water pretty bad, and whoooop, *** end came around and I found myslef facing the center divider wall, counter steered all I could and got it some what straightend back out but the rear end slid back out in the oppisite direction and gave the wall a lil love tap that sent me sliding back to the right hand side of the freeway, down the down grade and through the only damn spot of the downgrade that had water, almost made it through but here's the aftermath of the wild ride...lil black spot on the rear bumper is the only damage other than the wheel, and a lil water in the passanger side floor board, and bent the rear axle, could have been alot worse as you can see from looking at where the water line is if you look at the front wheel...
315drs lost the battle of wet roads......and no I was not hauling ***..was only going 40-45.....

He probably originally wrote the word "granite" instead of "granted"

Take a photo of the tread remaining on the tire, bet that tells us a better story

Agree. dr's and wet roads dotn mix. I dont car what anyone says. Drag radials are not meant to be daily driver style tires. Get some real street tires.

yeah DR's should be put on when you are going to a race, or going to the races.. I dont think they are a DD.
alot of people dd them and run into water issues.
that is what has kept me froming getting dr's for my dd.

For the record, I have two sets of rears, I had planned to make a trip to the track so I had the 315's on, my streets are 9.5s and had switched them out the day before, and had planned to switch back out before the rain rolled in, but I never made it back to the house to make the switch so I just stayed put.......and Tony was right, I miss-used the wrong word, and had granite instead or granted........and it's not a DD either, I drive it like 3 or 4 times a week if that....

Also, the wind generated by the brick shape of an 18-wheeler can cause all kinds of problems, especially when it's in bad weather with minimal traction. Can get any car sideways from the volume of air that they displace at highway speeds. Really doesn't take much.
