Depends on who it is. I know a guy here that does entire motor installs and more extensive work & it's common for him to have cars for days, weeks, even months while motors are being built or what ever. It all depends on the individual, if we knew who the person was, maybe some of us could vouch for him as to not judge them blindly. Some guys on here have some bad *** cars and probably take better care of your car than if it went to a shop. I've heard all sorts of stories about doors getting jacked up from backing off lifts or out of the shop with the doors open......
The only way I would let someone keep mine over night is if it was going to be locked in their garage. But I eliminate all this by just doing the work myself
Edit: On the flip side, shops will likely have insurance to cover accidental damage or the like & also offer service after the sale. There's always trade offs for doing business with a person or a business. You have to decide what's best for you.

This site is for tech, so you can read up & learn about your car. With the money you would pay someone to do something for you, you could better use to buy some tools & learn how to do stuff yourself. Guess you benefits from that? You do. Carry a small tool kit on long trips, once you have worked on cars, you lose that fear of taking stuff apart or working on it.
You should start here, then use the search and and I bet you will find all the info & how-to tech you need to complete a simple header install.
If money & your car's safety is the big factor, learn to do it yourself. Otherwise pony up the bucks & take it to a shop.....but I can tell you this from personal experience, it's much more satisfying when you drag someones *** in a car you built yourself, especially when the other car was just sent off & built by a shop.

get his info, post him on here and post that you took your car to him today blah blah blah and get him to sign something just so you have some kind of proof. I actually did something like this for someone some years back, they left their car at my house overnight but in a garage and I put some headers on for them.
