Default Returned to an LS1...sort of :)

I sold my 98 camaro ss a couple months ago and just bought a 72' Vette with an LS1 conversion

I saw that on ebay I think. How much did you end up getting it for?

Put some rear bumpers and better wheels on that thing ASAP.

I paid 20k for it, plans are to replace the wheels, add ac, and wipers.

My plan was to get a project and put an ls1 in it but this was a frame-off restore so the work was done for me and probably cheaper this route in the end. Although I prefer my own work and learning but oh well.

Wheels, Exhaust exits redone and that thing will be one bad MO'FO! I love to hate on these older rides in my LS1. They are SO surprised when their rumblin' *** Vette gets destroyed by a stock SS. SEEEE YAAAA! Hope I don't run across this LS based engine Vette though...Lol.

nice but loose the wheels because you need wider ones with those flares

Only thing besides wheels and bumpers that bothers me is the non flip up headlights
but still nice

i say go with a 17x12 tt2 in the rear and about a 17x8 up front. im sure you can get a deep dish wheel in the back. that would improve the looks by a lot.

I like it, rims not that great.. But that is a good looker for sure.
