K&N electrical Supercharger. Never heard or seen this before, says up to 25hp.

http://stores.ebay.com/GToctane_K-N-...dZ2QQpZ2QQtZkm
* Produces 15 - 25 horsepower increase.
* Generates 250CFM of forced air.
* Universal Bolt-on, installs on any short ram or cold air intake.
* K&N Filter included.
* Installation instructions and all necessary installation hardware included.
* Pipes are not included, the car must be equipped either a short ram or cold air intake. (If you do not have an intake we would recommend the Weapon R Secret Weapon)
* Universal application. (Unit will replace your aftermarket air intake filter, please check to see if there is enough room by your air intake filter to install this unit.)

Not the K&N you know for filters thats fo' sho'...funny how they are trying to tie the name brand together by using a K&N Filter. If its electrical good luck pumping hot air into your intake with that thing...

No, K&N does not make superchargers. They call their filters "Filterchargers" as part of an advertising campaign.

I've seen a 3rd gen that made 8 hp and 15 lb/ft more by putting a leaf blower on the car while dynoing. It was done as a joke but it actually did a little something.

I could see where something that moves fewer CFM may become a restriction at WOT though.

If you want to go faster cheap, drop a 150 shot on your ride. Better ETs through chemistry.

I think there is a video on youtube or streetfire of some guys dynoing a car with the electric supercharger and it does cause a loss of HP, then they put a leaf blower to the intake but i think it made more than the 8hp/15tq you saw. I would search for it but i'm using my SLOW broadband card.
