Default My 383 died today...

It was running fine, i hit 5500 RPM and #3 piston felt it could no lobger deal with life. Head is fakked as well as the block. The heads are the only thing that bothers me, they were hard to find.

This was in the intake...

This is the destruction...

Hypereutectic pistons dont like over 400 HP i guess? Now every motor i build will be forged pistons so i wont have this issue.

Well, i have some assuming i dropped a valve, this set of heads has been to 7k rpm and then some, the lock was still in place on the valve tip. She will be alive again in a month or so, i have to save money for the kid but i will be with 350 cubes again with less cam.....maybe....

I gotta a 350 roller cam 1 pc. rear main block you can have. I havent had a machine shop check anything. I pulled it from a salvage yard a few years ago and never did anything with it. Lemme know if you want it.

consider a 5.3 ls motor
with all truck accesories an intake, they are around what u might spend to have that 350 rebuilt, 1000-1500$ range,
with a th350 or 400 ftw
nice 3rd gen btw,
