Default Looking for an oil / industry job

Im looking for a job in the Houston or Dallas area in May. I have a BS in Geology, but im really open to anything in the field. This would be an entry level position...


Anyone with anything, university recruiting sucks!

You can have my job... I'm just a little ol'e feild mechanic, it pays good, but don't expect to have a social life.

Dont know any small ones but with that degree id be on the phone with schlumberger to go to mud school...................mud engineers make mad cash for little actual time on the job lot of sitting around or sleeping on the clock or thats my experience with schlumberger hands i have talked to in the five years i have been offshore

As an alternative to targeting the major oil & gas guys, hit their service providers/contractors, many of whom are desperate for help. These are the drillers, pumpers, well frac & completion crews, etc. Just Google some of these. Good Luck! Griff

try looking up Davis Land Services, guy basically offered me a job the other day in ft. worth but I'm happy with my current one. Also Paloma Resources..... there are tons of places around ft worth to cleburne, and im sure Houston as well. Drawing a blank on other names atm. Easiest to jump in doing title work, but lease work isn't bad either.

well i have an interview with fmc technologies in houston, tx. my buddy just got out of the navy and is in training for a subsea service tech. so thats the job im interviewing for. i just got out of the military also, so that helped. from everything he has told me and everything that i have read, they are an awesome company to work for with great benefits. the website is fmctechnologies.com

I relocated from BA to go to work for FMC in Houston 3 years ago. Best of luck!

Hey man my dad works in houston for a company called chicago bridge and iron(they dont build bridges or use iron) so i dont understand the name. But i was talking to him about it and he said they were hireirng, Its over off of beltway8 and westimer, it used to be abb lumas global
