damn a true hall of famer right there. He is a shoe in for the HOF his first time eligible. I just hate to see him go without a superbowl ring....he sure deserved one! The game wont be the same without him. Now what will the Packers do? Hes some rather big shoes to fill.

He is old but still could come back and be better than the avg. quarterback. He deserved a championship but life is life. Good quarterback and a very tough one at that. I was not a GB fan but I do give props to those that tried.

I always liked watching him, I had some family from Sheboygan, and they were packers fans (and also bratwust fans).
I remember watching his game conference once and it looked like he had a nice portion of dip in his lip, but was spitting anything out. We were like "how does he do that, while talking normal and everything?" Then someone said "you play in the NFL for 16 years..." lol

he did? Damn i dont even remember it. Well hell than let him go on with his retirement....i thought he kept playing for a ring but i guess it was more for the love of the game (records). He could come back this year and be in the top 3 quarterbacks in the NFL for sure. He is an ageless pro bowler for sure

He's had a great career considering he started out as a backup for the Falcons ! He leads just about every statistical category for a quarterback, won a Superbowl ring(in the 90's) and has lead the Packers franchise for the past two decades so no better way to go then on top.

There is so much more to playing QB than your stats. And while Brett put up big numbers in every category (Interceptions included) his biggest contribution to his team was his work ethic, his loyalty, and his leadership.
The NFL could use more players like Brett Favre.

Favre has always been a risk taker, not just lately. He played with his heart and never for any other reason than his love for the game. He's perservered through a lot (Car accident, addiction to pain killers, wife's breast cancer, fathers death) and done it with the spotlight on him, never allowing those things to get in the way. There aren't many QB's that could actually lead a team the way Brett could. His picture should be in the dictionary under 'Field General'.
