Default FS: '98 Camaro Z28 M6 Vert. (racecar)

SOLD!!!

1998 Camaro Z-28 Convertible M6 (I consider it more race car than DD)
Forged 383
White w/ white top
Interior was white leather, replaced w/ dark leather.

The rest of the photos can be seen at:
http://www.putfile.com/album/180245

$8500

Here's the story in a nutshell.

I bought the car with a blown up engine a few years ago. The top and interior weren't in good shape. I replaced the interior (hated replacing the white leather, but the seats weren't in that good of shape) and chose to only drive the car when it was warm so the top couldn't be seen.

I had the original motor rebuilt with stock crank, eagle rods, and probe pistons. I put 243 heads on that had been ported by Wells Racing, and put a Fast 90 setup up top with all supporting bolt ons. This setup got me 94.50mph on motor and 105mph on 150shot out at redline just playing around (I know everyone says this, but I truly wasn't running the car too seriously). I ended up cracking a cylinder a week later (don't know why, just started smoking out valve cover) so I pulled it all apart, sold that short block and replaced it with current 383.

I just finished the car a few days ago and the engine has about 35min. of runtime on it and 10min of driving on it. It is definately all there.

Buyer is welcome to come drive and ride in the car.

I consider it my race car because it's not my DD, and it doesn't have all the comforts a DD would have. No A/C, no front Sway bar, top is ugly, rod end rear suspension parts make noises. Car does drive tight and straight though.

I have put lots of money and time in the car, and I don't have to sell it. But would like to focus my time on my dirt car.

I beleive I could peice the car out and get near this amount without including the actual car itself.

Car is registered and inspected as of this week. Will be good for a year.

The bad:
Needs new top (current one is functional, but ugly)
Hood has dent in front.
Front bumper has some scrapes
Whole car has a few dings and scratches
No A/C installed
No front sway bar.
Rattles on bumps.
Stock rear (seems to be in great shape, but wouldn't push it too hard with this kind of power)

The short block alone would cost someone $3500 or better. Throw in $1000 for a set of heads, $1100 for a Fast 90/90 and your up to $5600 for just the basic long block and intake. Nitrous kit would very easily sell for $500 (with everything I've got with it) and the Hptuners Suite + Jotto desk mount would go for around $400 as well. The list goes on and on.

I beleive this is an awsome deal for someone (maybe just because I've sunk so much money in it)

Constructive criticism on this sale is welcome. I don't know what something like this should bring. Please don't get on here and bash away though.

Oh yeah, and this car is fast!! Like I said, haven't gotten to play with new motor yet, but I would almost guarantee it will go 110mph in the 1/8 on the 150 shot (motor could handle 300 shot I bet). I'm sure around 98mph+ on motor.

Throw a rear under it and go low 10's maybe high 9's in the 1/4. Maybe faster, people on here could tell ya.

I also have a Ford 9" w/ 4.11s and detroit locker that could be negotiated as well. Was gonna put it in as soon as I found a housing.
