Anyone here remember this video?
Boy, this is really going to show my age.
It came out when I when in high school. Pretty cool video for it's time. Never thought much of the song but the video left a big impression on me. Hot women driving muscle cars is an ubeatable combination. And brunettes > blondes.

...and around this time it was "cool" to cruise up and down Westheimer about 10 x's back and forth moving a block at a time in half an hour. Rankin was the $hits, and when it got broken up, everybody ran to the unfinished part of Beltway8 that is over or near Greenspoint. Aldine football team couldnt be touched, oh and most important that we wish we had 89 cent per gallon gas!

For it's time it was a killer video. Wham! and Culture Club were the gay vids back in the day.
And Grim, yes, I remember well Westheimer as a cruise strip. I actually miss that, going around and around wasting all kinds of gas but damn you could get 10 races within 10 minutes! Well, back when I used to street race. Also did the same thing on Center Street in Deer Park. Or was that Pasadena? Damn, I'm getting old...
And yes, I saw Maiden at the Summit, February '85. It was 2 nights after seeing a small band no one had heard of at Cardi's off of Westheimer. That band was Metallica. And Armored Saint opened for them. Rock on!

Quiz, I got to see Skid Row open up for a "at the time" great band, who was this band?
Note: I got pulled into seeing this concert because my ex g/f at that time was crazy about Jon and I'd swear she'd get "wet" just by hearing his name *rolling eyes*

Amen to that brother. The 80s were worthless except for some of the harder stuff. My 80s CD has mp3's from Metallica, Ozzy, etc. But I do have some from Stevie Ray Vaughan and ZZ Top. But outside that, 80s were pretty much

Ding Ding Ding Ding! Winner.
LS Juan:
..and no, I wasn't the Frankie/Hollywood, Culture Club, new wave fanatic. At that time I was into "Loudness", "Rush" (Damn, what happened to them?), and Dio. Don't ask but when that went away I progressed to Country. That flourescent stuff and the parachut pants were what we made fun of because all we could afford were the Wrangler's lol. I wasnt going to smack down $50 for pants with 50 pockets.

Hehe, I saw Bon Jovi open for RATT at the Summit in December of '85. Froze my *** of in my GTO waiting for tickets to go on sale the morning they did. Bon Jovi, unbelievably, blew RATT off of the stage. I couldn't believe it.

Great video from a great band...But.I was much more into the "metal" of the time...And not the "Hair Bands" that soo many refer to the time period as...
Maiden,Priest,Metallica,Anthrax,Van Halen....etc....
My first concert was in Houston..we travelled from Laredo (home) to Houston to see "The Monsters Of Rock" at Rice Stadium.
It was Metallica,Scorpions,Dokken,Kingdom Come (anyone remember them?) and headlined by Van Halen!ALL IN ONE DAY!!FULL SETS!!
The temp guage at the stadium said it was 112* degrees that day!I don't know how accurate that was but, they were wheeling people out on stretchers right and left. All of them suffering from heat exhaustion!
Great day in deed...probably around Summer 1987-88??
Thanks for the 80's flashback to the OP!!!

Hair Bands?! Didnt realize that's what they were called but it makes lots of sense. I remember seeing a CD advertised of that but didnt know it was here in Houston. How much were the tickets?
Nobody remembers "Loudness"?

They're still making albums, but it's just not the same. I haven't really loved any of their albums since Presto (which came out when I was a freshmen in high school). Roll the Bones, Counterparts, Test for Echo, Vapor Trails, and Snakes and Arrows all have one or two good songs on them, but they're not strong albums. Certainly not like the days of Hemispheres or 2112.
I can definitely recommend Different Stages and Rush in Rio. Both are live albums and they're great stuff.
I went to their 30th anniversary show a few years ago when the tour came through Houston and it was GREAT! They did a good mix of old and new, and they showed they still have the chops. No opening act. They just dropped straight into Tom Sawyer at 7:00 sharp. Had a blast.
