Depends... what is your budget? What will its use be? just simple around the house basic stuff.. or are you talking about something that will be able to handle more serious drilling and larger drill bits.

I'm not a contractor, dont use heavy tools at work. Will be for home projects. The biggest project I see myself doing is a small 15x20 deck in the back yard. I am really interested in the impact driver. Never used one before till about a year ago on deployment. I borrowed an 18v Dewalt impact driver. I was really impressed at this small tool and it could drive deck screws into 2x4s with ease. I have seen many drill/driver sets. My cordless drill is dying so I figured it was a good time to upgrade.

Take a look at the Craftsman drill/impact driver combo #11550. The DeWalt impact driver is hecka nice but crazy expensive. Craftsman is good and has 1 year warranty. If you have any questions I have a thread about Craftsman stuff.
