Default Small engine "flywheel" puller?

Got a MTD chipper-shredder with a low hours
Tecumseh 5.5HP motor and the rest of it is rust.
Trying to get the thrasher off the thing, I can't
budge it with the 2-jaw puller and propane using
the keeper bolt as the "anvil". But there are
some inside threads on the thrasher that might
be meant for this, if I knew the thread I might
could get a Grade 8 long bolt and try the impact
gun. Tried most of the likely-sized ones from the
junk bolt can, but no good fit.

Is there a proper puller for small engines like this
or is the inside hole really for pulling like I think?
Any ideas on thread? Zero luck from MTD's web
pages.
