Default Argon Cylnder for welding

Where is a good place to get one for cheap for the average guy who might use it 5 times a year. How much pressure do they hold can I use a old fire extingusher? What is a good price to pay to have if filled.

Thanks
Brad

Harbor Freight sells them cheaper than anyone else
I've found but my local is often out of stock on the
argon bottles. Any gas depot ought to have "owner
bottles" you can buy. For casual use you may just
want a rental bottle and turn it in when the job is
done.

Nobody is going to fill a fire extinguisher with argon
for you, very few places fill anything on-site anymore.

Most places just do bottle exchanges, so doesn't really matter what bottle you start with. They fill them to 2000-2200 psi if I remember.
