Default Recommendations on a steam cleaner

I'm looking into purchasing a steam cleaner, preferably something relatively affordable. This would be a smaller unit used to clean the engine bay occasionally and things around the house, Would any of you have any recommendations? Thanks.

Use a water hose and degreaser, your better off. You might get high pressure water in places you don't want to. I wouldn't waste the money just to occasionally clean an engine bay. Get a good nozzle for your hose or a water wand. Just my 2 cents tho.

Your going to need a hot water steamer with a diesel burner.Just the water itself is not enough to take off the grease your going to need the heat,I have a karacher that works great.I pressure wash engine bays all the time and never had problems.Just try and stay away from the intake manifold and you'll be good

I've seen a couple of karcher steamers. Which model do you own?
