Default Mohawk

I've got a Mohawk in my home garage. Works great and is American made!

I have a benwil 2 post 7k lb in my garage. It origionally came from a gm dealer. Bought it used on craigs list for 1200. I have seen a couple since then for simular prices.
Definately a worthwile upgrade.
Good luck with your venture. I'd do the same if I thought I'd have enough work to keep the doors open.

Make sure the cables are in good shape.(not frayed ) and have a close look at the pump and motor. There are companys that sell parts for almost any lift ever made, but the parts add up quick. The pump on mine was replaced a short time before I bought it. I believe that the replacement was around 300.

Hope this helps.

I've got a Bendpak asymmetric 10k pound 2 post. I love the Asymmetric for the ease of getting in and out of the vehicle due to being able to open the doors farther without hitting the posts. I got mine off ebay for 1200 bucks when it was 6 months old.

This! If you can find one or can pay for the upgrade this is the way to go.

I have a 2 post Challenger CL10 (10,000 lbs) lift I got from the closing GM plant for $1000. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

Setup on them is pretty easy. Hardest part is standing up the towers. We used 2 cherry pickers to do this safely. Once they are up they are pretty sturdy and you can move them around. Mine has the cables that go over the top of the hoist so there is a plate up there to set distance between the towers. Once you had this plate bolted up the spacing set itself. Then we drilled the holes in the concrete and bolted it down.

I would also like to buy a four post lift soon..But most of the lifts are made in China today and most US lift companies have gone out of business..I heard that Bendpak now is even made in China..I am sorry but I don't trust the Chinese welding on stuff that is holding 3000 plus pounds over my head..

Rotary seems to be the most recommended and most common used professionally (around here at least)
