Default Break in procedure for craftsman air compressor?

Does anyone happen to know the break in procedure for a Craftsman 5 hp 25 gal horizontal air compressor? I have had this for a while but had not set it up. We recently moved and I now have it all ready to go but now I cannot find the owners manual.

It has a sticker on the plug that says do not plug in until reading break in procedure in manual.

Thanks for any help.

My manual do not say to do that but I don;t think that would hurt it. Is your unit a oil-free compressor?

For our 7 horse oil-free two-stage craftsman, we had to run it with the valve fully open for 15 minutes.

Where's the water drain? I didn't think an air compressor needed to be broken in, I bought mine a few weeks ago, 6hp 30gal vertical craftsman oil free, and just plugged it in and started using it, is that bad, is there something I should do?

The water drain is in the bottom of the tank. You need to make sure you drain it after every use to get the condensed water out of the tank.

I will try running it for 15 minutes with the valve open as suggested. This makes sense to let the pump seat in with no load from the air pressure.

Thanks again for all the responses.

Does anyone know where to get a replacement manual?
