Default best tool to fill cylinder with air?

i'm doing valve springs on my LS1 Vette soon.. can't seem to find the hose and fitting to put air in the cylinders while i'm doing the swap.. can someone point me in the right direction?

Yeah, any compression test kit should have the right fitting. You can also use a spark plug anti-fouler, and adapt to your air hose.

Lisle Tools available at NAPA or Carquest would have this hose for cheap, or you could find a local tools guy (MAC, Snap On, Matco) and pay more money

picked mine up at napa but I didn't even end up using them. It was just as easy and safer in my opinion to turn the engine over one at a time putting the cylinders at the top

Why is that? So in case something breaks the seal you don't have to play fish for the valve stem? J/W because I'm going to be doing a cam swap coming up in a little bit.

FWIW, I went to Vic Hubbards which is a one-off speed shop where I'm from and they had a hose specially made for the job, it was only $11.
