I understand that 2 post lifts are good for working on the car and suspension. I also know that 4 post lifts are better suited for car storage. Does anyone know if there is a company that makes a convertible 2 post lift? It would be a regular 2 post lift that when it came time for storage, you could drop the ramps on the arms and could use it like a 4 post drive on lift? Are these drive on ramps available for a 2 post lift?

I've never seen anything like what you're saying.

Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be picking up a 4-post lift. They do make jacks that will lift the car off the ramps so you can do suspension work.

I have a Mohawk 2 post lift and when I bought it they did not offer anything like that because I asked. I was wanting to be able to work on brakes and be able to convert it to a drive on unit so I could work on the exhaust system. You might be able to make some drive on ramps for it, but how safe will it be??? I am sure the compaines that make all of these lifts have thought of it but there must be a safety issue.
