Default floor jack repair?

i have a craftsman 1.5T low profile jack. juuuuuust out of warranty and the thing started leaking from the base of where the handle piston goes into the body of the jack. makes stuff hard to pump up over 1/2 the height of the jack.

is it possible to repair the seals, or am i stuck buying a new jack?

Buy a new one, clean up the broken one, take broken one in with receipt and claim its new but broke. I work at Sears and people do this all the time! And they always get what they want.

Just get a different one. I had the same problem and so have tons of other people. There is a huge thread on here about it somewhere.

I called a bunch of local hydralics shops and they said it would cost as much as a new one just to look at it. So unless you can fix a hydraulic cylinder yourself, you are SOL.

I've never fixed my own but I've fixed some jacks for others.
I just pull it apart and get the oring or seal I need
If I can't find it locally, McMaster Carr always has it
