Default minimum search term size

With all the acronyms that get used on these forums, how much of a performance hit would it be to decrease the minimum search term length? Right now it can be hard to find information on something that is always abreviated :-)

You mean search on terms with only two letters, like 'S1' or something like that?

I think it's set up right now for 4 or 5 letters.

I'll discuss, but we have discussed this a few times it's a problem but two letter searches could really get ugly.

What about three letter searches? There are tons of 3 letter acronyms...FRC, LCA, STB, etc. I too have run into this search "problem".

SysAdmin says that the 3 letter search feature is already enabled.

I can apparently add some 2 letter search terms, so please list ones that you think are key and I can manually add them... Like:

B1
T1
X1
S1
PP
AS

O2 (as in O2 sensor)
HP (for searching HP Tuners)
Z1,Z2,Z3,Z4,Z5,Z6,Z7,Z8,Z9 (for zaino product searches)

hell just add all the different combos

There's only 26 letters, 10 numbers so 36x36 possibilities (1296)
so
AA
AB
AC
...
A0
A1
A2
...
Z9
hehehehe
