Change in site behavior
Not sure what the proper terminology is, but I've noticed that the site no longer acts as a live document. When I hit the back button, I go back to the page I was at, rather than the previous page refreshing so I can auto-magically see what's new. I really liked the live document set up.

The change was made for a couple reasons. First was to help out our dialup users -- the page refreshing every time made cruising around the site take longer for them. Second was to help bandwidth consumption. We were averaging just over 1 TERAbyte per month, and this one change has cut it down over 300MB.

dayum. I try not to do too much when I'm on dial up. too bad there isn't a way to refresh the forum only and not the entire page.

The site errors should be smoothing/smoothed out pretty well over the next day or so. I've been bouncing the services quite a bit over the last week doing all kinds of crazy things I apologize for the outages

502 is a gateway error, indicates a proxy server was in between you and LS1Tech .. For whatever reason, the proxy felt it couldn't connect to LS1Tech and returned the error. There is a short period of time right at 4am CST when events run, that will lock and reset the database. During that time I expect a couple users to get an error, but typically I have only seen one error in the logs per night on average.

Damn, I really liked the live document setup too. I was wonderin why it didn't act that way anymore. I used to be able surf almost entirely w/o using any buttons except thread titles and reply lol.
I've been gettin quite a few periods where the site will go do for a period of time, saying things like "Server Not Found" and random other DNS errors. Usually lasts for 15-30 mins. Not real concerned about it, just worth mentioning. Good work so far Brains, the site has smoothed out a great deal since the new setup. I know its not too easy
