I only got a red X for the first image you tried to post... this one works because it is not an image from someone's photo gallery, just their logo; they only have offsite image use disabled for the stuff in people's photo galleries because that's what they're trying to avoid using lots of bandwidth for.

The first image probably appeared to you to have worked, but that's just because it was still saved in your web-browser's cache from when you saw it on the Webshots page earlier.
