So whats you feelings about the "NEW" LS1tech
So whats everybody think about it. So far i like it but I dont. I have to figure out how to use it all over again. I like what they done with it. Just the fact that I have to lear where everything is again.
Nice job

Same here....I like the new look, but like you said I have to learn it all over again....that is what it feels like anyways. I have already changed a bunch of my settings in the "My Home" area. I guess it is just going to take some getting used to. I think I am going to like some of the new features, such as the "favorites" option. No more trying to search for a post you were interested in... All in all I think it was worth the day that it was down for. Although I did have a hard time trying to find actual work to do.

It sucks to say the least. It's hard to read, the colors are terrible, I have no clue why they messed with the old site. God hope they come to their senses & change it back..... Plus the links don't work etc, it's awful....

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. It looks like every other site now. I thought it was really unique before. Now everything is all jumbled up looking, and there is too much crap on the screen. I spend A LOT of time on this site. It seems foreign now, and I don't like the black background. Why mess with a good thing?

Oh well there does seem to be better things. it did loose the clean, oranized way that it was before.

Yeah, it does seem to be more 'cluttered' while trying to read the threads. And the disappearing threads (white text on white background).

Yes its definitely going to take getting use to. I like how I can see more of my response in the "Post" box. That's a nice addition. I don't like the fact I can see at a glance what days and times I have posted in the past. It's almost like a big brother tracking thing. I do like the black backgrounds. Overall I have mixed feelings, but I tend to resist change. The little icons definitely seem a bit strange, I don't go to variety of message boards, and haven't seen these before. Not sure if these are easily swapped or not. Think a variety of user polls may prove worthwhile when considering tweaking things. Thanks to the moderators for all of their efforts!

John

I don't think this is the final look of the site. Other templates will be available eventually to change the look. I believe a Classic look will be available.
The best thing to do is let the Owners know what you like and don't like so they can get things taken care of. I believe their main goal was to get the new software running in order to address some to the concerns about site speed and then take care of making changes to the site.
I think they'll be busy for the next couple of days.

- Difficult to discern adjoining posts. I'd rather have matching background colors going horizontally than vertically in the forums.
- Black background is fine, but the black & navy blue on a red background are tacky. Too much contrast between the FG/BG colors.
- Speed seems better for the little I've used it so far.
- Whatr's behind the red LS1Tech.com lettering in the logo?

BTW, if you need to just see the old setup every once in a while you can just click this link.
LS1TECH CLASSIC
Here's an even older LS1TECH.

I used to think the turbobuick VBB board was "crowded" looking, but this takes the cake.
Harder to read posts with all the clutter.
Cluttered look to whole site actually.
Profile page seems too complicated with all the different catigories to change your settings.
Sorry if this seems too harsh, but like was said above, if we don't object to what we don't like then no one will know what us users want changed.
Honestly, the old LS1 Tech was worlds better to view, IMO.

I liked the old look to the board much better, but I know that UBB is much better and will make the board faster. I hope they enable whatever setting it takes so you can make the text bigger. The current setting looks like 8pt!
One other thing the "Edit Quote Reply" boxes seem huge, and like someone else said the breaks between posts aren't apperent enough and everything seems to blend together.
