Default Sub Categories added in Parts Classifieds section???

I was wondering if we could have categories added in the Parts Classifieds section. ex. suspension parts, motor parts, misc parts, body parts etc.. The first page will still display every item for sale put at the top you could refine what you are looking for. I don't know anything about web pages so i don't know how hard it would be to add. But i think a lot of people would enjoy it since there are so many people on this site and so many parts for sale.

The reason that hasn't been done are the amount of listings, having to move ones posted in the wrong sub forum would take time.
You also have members parting out up to 5 items, even they wouldn't have much time to check each post in 5 different places to respond.

It is a good suggestion but not sure if it could be pulled off.

This has been discussed previously and rejected as administratively unfeasible.

AKA, it's too much damn work when so many folks already don't read stickies or follow simple directions.

a good idea but it would be a ton of work on the mods to make sure everybody put it in the right section since a lot of people can't even put their whole car in the right section.

Not nearly the pain in the *** it would be for us to maintain separate sections. People can barely put posts in the right sections as it is, what makes you think they would get any better with more sections to choose from?

I never said people would post in the right section, or that it would get better. I was refering to when you are just browsing as in going to buy something. I do agree it would be hard to maintain. But hey if they can't post in the right for sale section, leave it. Most likely they won't sell it then and next time they will realize.

I agree that it would be a pita, but it would so much easier to thumb through. The freakin posts move down so quick it isn't funny. If anyone wants an example, go to the corral.net and check out their classifieds.

Most people post listings for several items in one thread. Would be a pain. Just browse the whole thing.
