For Sale or Trade: Very Nice, Low Mileage/Unmolested, Original 1996 Impala SS
Hello Everyone,
I am selling my Very Nice, Rare, Low Mileage/Unmolested, Original Dark Cherry Metallic 1996 Impala SS.
The most desirable/collectible of the 1994-1996 Impala SS is the 1996 model year for a few reasons.
- The 1996 is the only year the Impala SS came with a center counsel-mounted shifter.
- The 1996 is the only year the Impala SS came with Analog gauges and only year with a Tachometer.
- The 1996 is the last year a Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) Impala was made.
As many of you already know, the Impala SS included a sport-tuned suspension with reinforced shocks and springs, a high-capacity upgraded reverse flow cooling system, larger and more powerful four-wheel disc brakes, transmission cooler, dual exhaust, and a higher-output electrical system. The Impala SS also was uniquely fitted with a standard 3.08 gear with a limited-slip rear differential that was standard as were 17-inch brushed aluminum wheels with 255/50ZR17 tires a unique single-bar grille with no hood ornament and, a rear deck spoiler. Offered in only Black, Dark Cherry Metallic and Dark Grey Green.
Of course what made the Impala SS such a hit (aside from its aggressive good looks) was its LT1 engine derived from the Corvette, putting out an impressive 260hp and 330tq, enabling the beast to rip through the 1/4 mile in as little as 14.9 seconds and top out at 140+ mph in stock form.
My Impala SS offers:
- Low 60k original miles (that is only roughly 4,200 miles driven per year !)
- Original and Unmolested (has not been butchered or modified)
- New tires (have around 2k on them)
- Always garaged
- Clean and Clear KS Title with clean Carfax
- Original Owners manual
- Original New Car window sticker
- Original Sales Brochure
Here are some pictures of my beauty.
I have been studying, reviewing and comparing www.AutoTrader.com and www.Cars.com and have seen the 1996 SS's going for as much as $30,000+ on-line, so due to the Unmolested condition and low mileage I think that my new lowered price of only $13,900 is more then "fair".
Payment must be in CASH (or we can go to your bank and cash your Certified Cashiers Check). I will also accept Even Trades for 1967-1969 V8 Camaro's or 1968-1972 Chevelle SS's or C5 Corvette or 6.0L GTO or 03-04 Cobra or CTS-V or Gen III Firehawk, in comparable condition. I am located in Kansas City.
I do Not "need" to sell my SS, so if you do not have anything positive to say please refrain from saying it.
Thank you greatly for your time !
