Ok guys, my deployment schedule got changed and it just doesn't make sense to keep this car. As much as I love driving it out here in San Diego, she's gotta go. That being said, the car is here in San Diego for the time being. If I can't sell it quick out here then the first week of May sometime I'll ship her back to Illinois so my parents can handle the sale. I do still owe on this car, so the title is not readily available. It's going to take the buyer paying, me paying the car off, and USAA mailing the title to me so we can handle the signatures. Now that that is out of the way, on to the car.
I love this car, and wish I didn't have to sell. The previous owner had her dyno tuned and she put down 427/426. The owner before him had the car 11.6 in the 1/4 with traction issues. And thanks to the twin disk and the tune, you will be able to daily drive this car anywhere. The paint is immaculate for something that was sprayed in '97, I give it 8.5/10. There is a scrape on the bottom of the front bumper from a steep ramp in a parking garage. The interior probably gets 7.5/10. The drivers seat is torn and there are holes in the plastics next to the rear seats where someone had thought about installing a 6 point. The right side plastic in the hatch is also cracked from the previous owner forcing the sub boxes in. The drivers side window switch panel also doesn't sit down in the door all the way. The drivers window tint also isn't perfect. All imperfections mentioned are pictured.
Mechanically, this thing is awesome. Since I've owned it (less than a year) I have installed a UMI torque arm relocation kit, a TSP ORY & Hooker catback, and a 34mm front sway bar. I also had the u joints replaced and had the driveshaft balanced. There is a slight hum at certain RPMs, but I'm %99 sure that it's the y-pipe against the body and trans xmember. She sticks to the road. On and off ramps are a blast. the front 245/55/17 sumitomos are probably between %50-%60 tread left and the rear Nitto 275/40/17 DRs are probably between %70-%80. Unforunately the passenger side wheel has a very slight bend in it. It's small enough that discount tire was able to balance it out, but it's there.
The papers I have say that the engine was dropped in at 60k and the trans only has like 35k on it since the rebuild, still shifts beautifully. The rear end was just rebuilt before I bought the car.

If the funds are there then it will be in Illinois in a couple weeks. If not, then it looks like it'll be staying here. I still owe about 8 on it, and I know you couldn't build this car for even 10k so I think she's pretty reasonably priced.
