Sorry - haven't been online in a few weeks and missed your post. The conversion was relatively easy looking back, but the costs do add up quickly. All I remember is the feeling of spending a few hundred bucks a week on miscellaneous parts for months and months And that's after buying what I thought was all the big stuff.
I made an effort to do minimal modifications to the car itself in case someone (myself included) ever wanted to put it back to an 'original' style car. The frame required no modification because 442 frames have the same motor mount holes that Chevelles do. The trans tunnel was the only real modification as it had to be opened up to clear the T56. That can be undone though as replacement parts are available. Everything else was new bolt on parts: Corvette brakes, driveshaft, exhaust, suspension, etc.
I've only advertised the car here for now as I'm not desparate to sell, will likely try harder to sell in the spring if it's not gone. I've had a few interested people but not the right time of year to be selling this kind of car in WI.
