Default 1987 Buick Grand National built 10sec street car

Year: 1987
Make: Buick
Model: Regal
Price: $18500
Mileage: 76000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): TN
Color: Black
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

Up for sale is my 1987 Buick Grand National hardtop. I have owned this car the last 7 years. The motor, trans, and rear have less than 2,500 miles on them. I would not hesitate to drive this car across the country at any point. The A/C works great, but has the typical leak at the hose near the radiator, so it just needs to be refilled with R134A. The body reads 76k miles as it sits, clean title in hand. It still has original paint, spare, etc.

Built 109 by NCTURBOS - All machine work documented with receipts.
- Forged Wiseco pistons, stock rods & turbo crank
- Champion CNC Ported Irons
- Champion CNC Ported Intake
- 210/215 Roller cam
- Harland Sharp 1.6 roller rockers
- Ported stock TB & Plenum
- RJC girdle
- ARP hardware throughout
- HR Motor mounts

Extreme Automatics Stage 3 2004R trans
- All billet everything
- Deep sump pan
- Electric transbrake
- PTC 9.5" 3200 17#blade
- 3" aluminum Driveshaft
- Driveshaft safety loop
- Detroit locker
- Moser 28 spline axles
- ARP wheel studs
- Dual rear airbags

Power Adders
- CPT66BB
- Cottons Big FMIC
- Razor's dual nozzle alkycontrol
- THDP
- Hooker Aerochamber exhaust
- 3" electric cutout
- Hotwired DW fuel pump

TurboTweak 6.1 chip
- Powerlogger WB02 setup
- Scanmaster 2.2
- Bosch wideband
- LS1 MAF & Translator

Misc
- Centerline Rev wheels - 15x6 front, 15x10 rear
- 275/60 MT's
- Alradco HID's
- Hallman in-car Manual boost controller
- High torque mini starter
- Vacuum brake conversion
- F-body radiator
- Hawk HPS brake pads with new front rotors
- Speedhut electric gauges - Tach, FP, Boost, Oil PSI, Trans temp
- RJC billet horn ring
- CD head unit, sub/amp, front speakers

There is a LOT that I'm forgetting right now that I will add when I remember. I only made one pass on this combo and went 11.5@118 on 22psi. This was a test pass with 1.95 60' and letting out at the end. I run 25psi on the street. The car will come with lots of extras - (2) stock GN wheels, centercaps, ported stock heads, axles, etc. The reason I'm selling is a want a Viper GTS. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Price: $18,500

Just curious to why your advertising for a 10 sec car when you have never driven this car into the 10's. Yes you run more boost on the street but the 3 psi more isn't gonna make too much of a difference without race gas and some decent power (above 550-600 in this heavy car). I say all this bc I am interested in this car. I know its a nice car but you haven't listed any dyno sheets for proof to sway someone to thinking it potentially even has 10's in it. It may need a driver mod but imagine how much easier it is to sell something proven vs what you say it will do.

I've gone 1.62 60' with this trans and converter with the old motor on 5 year old Nittos on stock rims, which was off the footbrake. I'm confident the ET Streets will hook just as good if not better. Let alone launching off the electric transbrake.

And again like I said, this was a test pass and I let off before the 1/4.

Don't get me wrong it probably will run 10's but im the kind of person that likes to see proof before I buy something and might be speaking on behalf of others on here that feel the same. Very nice car though. I love GN's.

Hows the paint on a scale of 1-10? Are you sure its original paint...have the front and rear fillers been replaced? Any cracks in the dash? Do you still have all the receipts on the engine build?

What part of TN are you in? I am very interested.

I would give the paint a 8/10. It shows some pitting, staining, and oxidation here and there and is definitely "driver" status. That said, as you can see from the pictures, it does not look bad by any means and looks great until you pick it apart. Any professional detailer could iron out 99% of the defects and have it looking like new. I know it is original paint because there were dealer installed side "pin stripes" applied that somebody removed. You can see the witness marks on the car. The pin stripes were not a factory option, but rather a common dealer installed option.

I am not sure if the front and rear fillers have been replaced at any point before me, but they are all intact and in place. It has the typical crack in each speaker vent on the dash. I have every last receipt on the engine build and it was done by a very respected member of the turbobuick community who has done many many builds on GN's and TTA's. I am located in Murfreesboro.

What is the engine block and internals suppose to be rated at? Trans also? I'm guessing it's a stock block re-done?

It should be able to handle 9's if tuned right. Friend of mine runs that with a very similar set-up. The trans is rated from EA for "up to 1000HP" http://www.extremeautomatics.com/tra...ons/2004r.html

This car has a lot of good parts and should run really well!

ZNix hit the nail on the head

Also consider partial trades towards an older reliable DD - ie Civic/Maxima/Accord/Prelude/Integra/LS400, etc.
